At Balgillo nursery we have a fully qualified and very experienced staff team. All of our team are committed to training and to their own professional development. All staff are registered with the SSSC at Practitioner and Lead Practitioner levels.
Pamela Gall, Owner / Manager
“I qualified in 1997 from Dundee College as a nursery nurse and since then I have worked within a range of settings. I feel that I have the most experience and knowledge of the private sector, where I have worked at all levels, including manager. Before working for myself at Balgillo Nursery my most recent employed post was within the Education Department of Dundee City Council where I worked closely with the voluntary sector.
Professional development is very important to me and I have continued to study and achieved an SVQ Level 4 in Childcare and Education with Dundee College in 2004. I am currently studying for a Degree in Childhood Practice with Dundee University and I am fully registered with the Care Commission and Scottish Social Services Council.

Kim - Development Manager (Balgillo Too)
Since qualifing to HNC level in 2000 at Dundee College I have worked within a range of settings at home and abroad. I have also worked at all levels, including manager.
I joined Balgillo Nursery in 2008 where I worked as Depute Manager alongside Pamela before my recent promotion to Manager of the Torridon Road nursery. I have a keen interest in the development of Balgillo Nursery Too and Pamela and I are working alongside our newest team members to develop the practice withing the nursery and ensure that this operates to a high level also.
Pamela and I have previously worked together so I know that we share the same values and beliefs when it comes to high quality care and education.
Ongoing professional development is a big part of this and I qualified in June 2011 with a Level 8, Professional Development Award through Dundee College.

Lesley - Supervisor /Early Years Practitioner
I qualified in 2009 as an Early Years Practitioner from Angus College. Since qualifying I have worked with Pre-school children in a private nursery and most recently I have been on supply within a range of local authority settings including primary schools. I joined the Balgillo Too team in 2011 and after 6 months was promoted to supervisor in the main playroom. I would describe myself as a highly motivated individual who enjoys planning new experiences for the children. I look forward to meeting you all soon.
Caroline - Supervisor / Early Years Practitioner
I qualified in 2003 with a SVQII and III and I am a fully qualified and I am a registered Early Years Practitioner. I started my career at just 16 years of age and have worked soley within the private sector. I have worked at all levels including practitioner, team leader and nursery supervisor. I am enjoying working at Balgillo Nursery Too and particularly enjoy working as part of this small, friendly team. I have recently been promoted to supervisor of the Under 2's room and I would describe myself as outgoing and very enthusiastic!
Through open communication I hope that we can build good relationships as a team and with the children and their families I feel that this will improve the outcomes for all of the children in our care. I look forward to meeting you all soon.
Debbie - Early Years Practitioner
I am a fully qualified and registered Early Years Practitioner having studied at Dundee College. During my time at college I was given a placement at the Balgillo Nursery, Torridon Road and I really enjoyed my time there.
I have been working with the under 2's since I started at Balgillo Too in June 2011 and have learned a lot!
I am a happy, welcoming, motivated person who is eager to learn and take on new challenges.
Sandy - Early Years Practitioner
I have been working in the private sector since I was 16 years old and I gained an NVQ qualification whilst working in a nursery. I then went on to achieve my HNC in childcare and education. I am also registered with the SSSC at practitioner level.
I have experience with children aged 0 - 5 years and I love watching them develop their own personalities. I am always willing to learn new things and look forward to the opportunities I will get at Balgillo Nursery Too to attend training courses and further my knowledge and skills. I also look forward to working with your family soon.
Lisa - Early Years Practitioner
I am a fully trained and registered Early Years Practitioner after qualifying with a Level 3 in september 2008.
I have worked in the private sector for 7 years and have worked with all age groups. I am enjoying my time at Balgillo Nursery and love working with the 0 - 2 age group.
I am a happy, self motivated person who is freindly and keen to learn new things. One of my goals if to study for a Professional Development Award in Early Education.
Caroline - Early Years Practitioner
I recently qualified with and SVQ3 in childcare and education although I have be working in the private sector since 2010.
I joined the team in February 2012 and I am thoroughly enjoing my time at Balgillo Nursery Too where I am a key worker for children aged 2- 3 years old.
I enjoy attending lots of different training courses and I always try to extend the opportunities and experiences for the children in my care.
Suzanne - Early Years Practitioner
I am a fully qualified and registered Early Years Practitioner working with the 2 - 3's group at Balgillo Nursery Too. I am the newest member of the Balgillo Too team having joined them in March 2012 although I qualified 9 years ago and have worked in the private sector ever since.
I enjoy attending regular training courses to extend and develop my knowledge.
