At Balgillo nursery we have a fully qualified and very experienced staff team. All of our team are committed to training and to their own professional development. All staff are registered with the SSSC at Practitioner and Lead Practitioner levels.
Pamela Gall, Owner / Manager
“I qualified in 1997 from Dundee College as a nursery nurse and since then I have worked within a range of settings. I feel that I have the most experience and knowledge of the private sector, where I have worked at all levels, including manager. Before working for myself at Balgillo Nursery my most recent employed post was within the Education Department of Dundee City Council where I worked closely with the voluntary sector.
Professional development is very important to me and I have continued to study and achieved an SVQ Level 4 in Childcare and Education with Dundee College in 2004. I am currently studying for a Degree in Childhood Practice with Dundee University and I am fully registered with the Care Commission and Scottish Social Services Council.

Kim - Manager
Since qualifing to HNC level in 2000 at Dundee College I have worked within a range of settings at home and abroad. I have also worked at all levels, including manager.
I joined Balgillo Nursery in 2008 where I worked as Depute Manager before my recent promotion to Manager of the Torridon Road nursery. I also have a keen interest in the development of Balgillo Nursery Too and Pamela and I are working alongside our newest team members to develop the practice withing the nursery and ensure that this operates to a high level also.
Pamela and I have previously worked together so I know that we share the same values and beliefs when it comes to high quality care and education.
Ongoing professional development is a big part of this and I qualified in June 2011 with a Level 8, Professional Development Award through Dundee College.

Gillian - Nursery Supervisor
I qualified with an HNC in Early Education and Childcare in July 2010 and started working at Balgillo Nursery soon after.
Prior to enroling in the HNC I was a volunteer within a Local Authority early years setting for a number of years and had studied to Degree level at the University of Dundee.
I am a highly motivated individual who thrives as part of a team and I enjoy attending training to further develop the experiences for the children in my care.
I have recently been promoted to the post of nursery supervisor and I also currently work with the PreSchool group.
I take pride in my work and I am fully committed to providing the highest quality of childcare and education for the children at Balgillo Nursery.
Siobhan - Early Years Practitioner
I joined Balgillo Nursery in July 2009, after qualifying with and HNC in Education and Childcare at Dundee College. I have a range of experience and have worked in private and public sector settings. I particularly enjoyed working with children with Autisim having volunteered for 2 years at the Francis Wright Preschool in Dundee. I am motivated, calm, patient and friendly and I look forward to working with the staff and children at Balgillo Nursery.
Lynsey - Early Years Practitioner
I qualified in 2008 after achieving an NC in Childcare and Education at Angus College in Arbroath.
I joined Balgillo Nursery in April 2009 and I am really enjoying my job. I would describe myself as motivated, enthusiastic, outgoing, caring and patient.
I have recently completed my SVQ level 3 in Childcare and Education with Dundee College.
I really enjoy being part of a team that works together to provide the highest standard of care for the children at Balgillo Nursery.
Hayley - Early Years Practitioner
I am qualified to SVQ level 3 in childcare and education in 2007.
I have worked in the private sector since 2004 and have a range of experience working with children from 0 - 5 years.
I joined Balgillo Nursery in September 2011 and I am enjoying being part of such a dynamic team.
I would describe myself as motivated enthusiastic and very approachable.

Danielle - Early Years Practitioner
I am a fully qualified Early Years Practitioner and I am registered with the Scottish Social Service Council. I have been qualified since 2008 and have worked in the Private sector since qualifying. I have most experience of working with children under 3 years and so I am pleased to be Key Worker for the yougest children at Balgillo Nursery.
I love being part of the fantastic team at Balgillo Nursery and I hope to continue to develop my skills and knowledge during my time here.
I have a happy bubbly character and I enjoy seeing the children learn and develop through the activities and experiences we provide.
